City of Salisbury serves:
Spencer, East Spencer, Granite Quarry, Rockwell, China
Grove, and Landis
Faith maintains community wells
Cleveland maintains own water supply
Maximum daily capacity is 12,000,000 GPD with an average
load of 7,560,000 GPD. Surplus is 4,400,000 GPD above
peak load. The Yadkin River provides Salisbury with
its water. Water rate schedules are available on request.
Sewer Services
City of Salisbury serves:
East Spencer, Granite Quarry, Rockwell, China Grove
and Landis
Spencer and Cleveland maintain their own waste treatment
plant
Faith residences use individual septic tanks
The City of Salisbury has two sewage treatment plants
with a total capacity of 12,500,000 GPD. Average daily
volume used is 8,580,000 GPD leaving an excess capacity
of 3,920,000 GPD. A sewer rate schedule is available
upon request.
Salisbury- Rowan Utilities is constructing the Town Creek Interceptor line to provide additional service to the south of Salisbury. View a map of the expanded service area
Solid Waste Disposal
A new 375 acre landfill is provided by Rowan County.
Charges vary depending on size of truck.
